Over the years the format and content included in a legitimate appraisal report has changed dramatically. The Appraisal Institute of Canada and it's members have gone to great lengths to define the various types of reports and their content. There are three main categories of appraisals: a self-contained appraisal, a summary appraisal and a restricted appraisal. In each category a report can be either "complete" or "limited".
The proposed use of the report determines the format that the appraisal report will take. Consult the institution or speak to our office to determine the appraisal type that best meets your requirements.
